Lexi Banks Collins Joins RACE

Lexi Banks Collins has joined RACE as a Permit Application Coordinator. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the State University of New York at New Paltz and spent a year studying abroad in Cardiff, Wales. Prior to joining RACE, Lexi gained experience in utility operations and water quality through internships supporting drinking water distribution and environmental compliance programs.
Lexi’s new position is designed to support RACE’s growing portfolio of coastal and waterfront projects by managing and coordinating the permitting process. Working closely with project managers, engineers, environmental scientists, surveyors, clients, and regulatory agencies, Lexi’s role serves as an important connection between the technical team and permitting agencies, helping projects move efficiently from initiation through construction.
Lexi resides in Lordship section of Stratford, CT, where she enjoys spending time along the shoreline collecting sea glass, birdwatching, and walking with her dog, Bunker. She has always enjoyed traveling and seeking out new experiences, a passion that grew during her year abroad in Wales. While studying in the United Kingdom, she explored the deepest cave in the UK and traveled extensively throughout the region. Iceland remains one of her favorite destinations for its dramatic landscapes and natural beauty. When not traveling, Lexi enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring Connecticut’s coastline.
