RACE is thrilled to be working closely with the Ferry Landing Team to manage key waterfront infrastructure and marina basin initiatives, as well as provide project management support for the comprehensive, multi-phase revitalization of this marina.
Ferry Landing Marina is located on the Connecticut River in Old Saybrook.
As an initial phase of this project, a significant 40,000 cubic yard dredging was completed this spring. The dredging restored water depths in the marina and enabled improved launching and hauling capabilities.

Following the dredging project, replacement of the bulkhead and demolition of buildings are anticipated to begin in the winter of 2026/27.
Old Lyme native Walker Potts, Principal of Ferry Landing, is spearheading the transformation of the property into a modern marina and destination. In collaboration with RACE, Point One Architects, Attorney Edward Cassella, Gesick & Associates, and Summer Hill Civil Engineer’s & Land Surveyors, the redevelopment will further include upgrades to docks, bulkheads, and utilities along with enhancements to shoreside amenities such as dining, clubhouse, offices and retail businesses. “Our mission is to create a clean, safe, and accessible, family-friendly marina destination that draws visitors from neighboring communities and that locals are proud to call home on the Connecticut River,” states Potts.
RACE is excited to play a role in the transformation of this marina into a world class facility. We will continue to post on the status of this project as it progresses.
