New York State Announces $20 Million
in Coastal Resilience Grants

New York State is accepting grant applications for Coastal Rehabilitation and Resilience Projects (RFA #24-OPDBA-23) from eligible municipalities (counties, cities, towns, villages, Indian Nations or Tribes recognized by the State or United States), Not-for-Profits, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, and New York State Agencies and Authorities.
The program prioritizes projects using natural solutions to enhance community resilience while also delivering environmental, economic and social benefits. Eligible projects may include the design and/or the construction phases of habitat restoration, shoreline stabilization, levees, culvert right-sizing, flood mitigation, stormwater management and more.
The State is making at least $20 million available to fund applications for the Coastal Rehabilitation and Resilience Project grants. Applicants may apply for a minimum grant amount of $300,000. The match requirement is 10% of the total project cost.
