Matthew Taverna is a Project Manager at RACE with experience in structural engineering on coastal
structures. Matt’s professional carrier includes structural analysis in marine applications, regulatory permitting, cost estimating, surveying and planning for various waterfront uses, preparation of contract documents, material specifications, and construction administration.
As an engineer, Matt has inspected and performed structural analysis assessments on timber, concrete and steel foundation piers, designed and prepared construction documents for timber, concrete and s
teel bulkheads including multiple variations of tie-back systems. He is proficient with numerical design applications typically used in coastal and structural engineering design programs, including but not limited to Land Development Desktop, Carlson Civil, RISA, and industry standard pile and bulkhead design software.
When not at the office, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, his 3 year old daughter and his 1 year old son. The active family loves to attend multiple sports events, including football, basketball, baseball and golf. The family is always up for a great walk to the pond, visiting the local zoos and venturing to new public parks. When he can, Mr. Taverna loves to go for a run, play nine holes of golf and take on home construction projects.
