RACE COVID-19 Status Update March 27, 2020
Dear Clients, Colleagues and Friends,
We hope that you and your families are healthy and doing well.
We want to provide our clients, collaborators, and friends an update on our current activities at RACE.
Pursuant to Governor Lamont’s Executive Order 7H, Connecticut’s Construction Sector, including engineering services, has been deemed essential business. As such we remain prepared to serve our clients’ needs while implementing rigorous safety measures.
We have implemented extensive procedures to protect the health and well-being of our employees, clients, colleagues, emergency responders and the community while providing professional services. Some of the specific field precautions as they relate to the COVID-19 emergency include careful evaluation of the site, traveling in separate vehicles, disinfecting field equipment before and after use, social distancing and no indoor jobsite meetings. We are constantly adjusting and adapting our preventative policies with everyone’s utmost safety in mind.
RACE team members who are not traveling to project sites (while meeting safety precautions noted above) are primarily working from their homes and are remotely available to continue with designing solutions for our clients’ project needs. We have also stepped up our virtual meeting capabilities in order to effectively collaborate with our team and clients during this time. This technological connectivity has enabled RACE to seamlessly manage our projects and satisfy our clients’ needs while at the same time meeting recommendations for safety.
If you would like to talk with anyone at our office, please call 203-377-0663 or connect via email.
Please call me anytime with questions or concerns. My very best wishes to all of you and your families.
